Description
CRC Zinc Mate is a gray zinc-rich coating that bonds to ferrous metal and is used to touch up damaged galvanized surfaces and protect bare steel from rust. Typical jobs include welds, threads, fasteners, conduit, fencing, railings, grates, trailers and exposed edges. CRC states it meets ASTM A780. This is the 369 g aerosol can.
The Safety Data Sheet (WHMIS 2015) classifies it as an extremely flammable aerosol (Category 1) with skin irritation (Category 2), reproductive toxicity (Category 2), specific target organ toxicity (single exposure Category 3, repeated exposure Category 2), aspiration hazard (Category 1) and acute and chronic aquatic hazards (Category 1), signal word Danger. Do not apply to energized equipment. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area and read the SDS before use. Sold per can.
