Description
Loctite 2047 is a black, one-part anaerobic threadlocker with lubricant additives built into the formula, made for high-strength locking of fasteners that also have to be torqued accurately. Henkel designed the lubricity to approach that of metal-free anti-seize compounds, and the slow cure profile leaves time to tighten several bolts in one assembly before the product sets. This also suits large, heavily torqued bolts that warm up during tightening and could otherwise cure too early. Assembly and maintenance teams use it on heavy equipment fasteners. Supplied in a 50 mL bottle.
The Canadian Safety Data Sheet classifies the product as a skin irritant (Category 2), serious eye irritant (Category 2A), skin sensitizer (Category 1), suspected carcinogen (Category 2) and a repeated-exposure target organ toxicant (Category 2), signal word Warning. Wear protective gloves, clothing, and eye and face protection, avoid breathing vapours or mist and read the SDS before use. Not recommended for pure oxygen systems or for use with chlorine and other strong oxidizers. Sold per 50 mL bottle.
