Description
Loctite 290 is a green, low-viscosity anaerobic threadlocker for locking and sealing threaded fasteners that are already assembled. Its capillary action wicks between engaged threads, so the fastener does not have to be taken apart before application, and Henkel notes it can also fill porosity in welds, castings and powdered metal parts. Maintenance and repair crews use it on set screws, assembled bolts and studs.
The Safety Data Sheet classifies the product as a skin irritant (Category 2), eye irritant (Category 2B) and a repeated-exposure target organ toxicant (Category 2). Wear protective gloves, avoid breathing vapours or mist and read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Sold per 10 mL bottle.
