Description
LPS 3 is a rust inhibitor that dries to a soft, waxy brown coating on metal. Per LPS, the film stays flexible, can self-heal if scratched, and protects against corrosion for up to 9 months outdoors or up to 2 years indoors. Users apply it to cables, chains, pulleys, battery terminals, pumps, hose assemblies, heavy equipment and stored metal parts. This listing is the 312 g (11 wt oz) aerosol can.
The Canadian Safety Data Sheet classifies the aerosol as Flammable aerosol Category 1, Gas under pressure (compressed gas), Skin irritation Category 2, Eye irritation Category 2A and Specific target organ toxicity, single exposure, Category 3 (narcotic effects), signal word Danger. Wear protective gloves and eye or face protection, use in a well-ventilated area, and keep the can away from heat, sparks and flames. Do not pierce or burn the can and keep it below 50 °C (122 °F).
