Description
Where a shaft slides into its bore with some clearance, Permatex Bearing Mount for Relaxed Fits (680) takes up the slack. This high-strength, medium-viscosity green anaerobic adhesive is made for slip-fit cylindrical assemblies with diametral gaps up to 0.015 in, and it can stand in for set screws, clamp rings and snap rings. Maintenance crews and repair shops use it to secure wheel bearings, idler shafts and press-fit bearings on metal parts; Permatex does not recommend it for plastics.
The Safety Data Sheet (US OSHA and Canada WHMIS, revision of February 26, 2025) classifies the product as harmful if inhaled (Category 4), a skin irritant (Category 2), serious eye irritant (Category 2A), skin sensitizer (Category 1), possibly carcinogenic (Category 1B) and a repeated-exposure organ toxicant (Category 2); signal word Danger. Use in a well-ventilated area, wear protective gloves and eye protection, and read the SDS before use. Sold per 50 mL bottle.
