Description
This is the 473 mL brush-top can of Permatex Thread Sealant with PTFE, a white, non-drip paste that seals and lubricates threaded pipe joints. Permatex lists it for pipes, fittings and threaded connections in air, oil, gas and hydraulic systems, with a temperature range of -54 to 204 °C (-65 to 300 °F) and effective use up to 5000 psi. Because it stays pliable and the dried film can be peeled off, plant maintenance crews, contractors and shops that seal many connections choose the larger can instead of single tubes.
The Safety Data Sheet (Danger) classifies it as a flammable liquid (Category 3), a carcinogen (Category 1B) and a specific target organ toxicant after a single exposure (Category 1). Keep it away from heat, sparks and open flames, ground and bond containers when transferring, and use non-sparking tools. Read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Sold per 473 mL can.
