Description
LU620 is a copper-gray anti-seize lubricant sprayed on from an aerosol with an extension tube. It combines finely powdered nickel, aluminum and copper in a semi-synthetic grease that Sprayon says will not melt and run out after application, and which has no clay or soap thickener. The manufacturer lists protection against seizure, galling, corrosion and galvanic pitting, and names threaded fittings, manifold studs and bolts, sprockets and chains, splines, worm gears, brake cams and pins, winches and valve shafts as typical uses. Mechanics, millwrights and field maintenance crews apply it before assembly so fasteners come apart later.
The Canadian Safety Data Sheet classifies it as an extremely flammable aerosol (Category 1), skin irritant (Category 2), narcotic-effect hazard (Category 3) and aspiration hazard (Category 1), signal word Danger. Wear gloves, use it outdoors or in a ventilated area, and keep it away from ignition sources. Sprayon notes it is not for oxygen systems. Read the label and the Safety Data Sheet before use.
