Description
The 3M 6500 is a reusable half-facepiece respirator with the 3M bayonet connection, used to connect 3M cartridges and filters. Per the manufacturer, it comes in three sizes: Small (6501), Medium (6502) and Large (6503). 3M lists the faceseal as silicone rubber, the overmold as nylon, the straps as polyester fibre with polyurethane elastic, the buckles as polypropylene, the inhalation valve as polyisoprene and the exhalation valve as nylon/silicone, with an approximate weight of 100 grams.
Sold individually: one respirator per unit, in the size you select. The price varies by size. Cartridges and filters are sold separately. Per 3M, the respirator is NIOSH approved with 3M 6000 Series cartridges and with 3M 2000, 2200, 7000 or 5000 Series particle filters; it cannot be used unless appropriate eye protection is also worn, and it is not for use in oxygen-deficient or immediately dangerous to life or health environments. Select and use it according to the 3M user instructions.
