Description
Oilfield Dry Moly Lube is a solvent-carried dry-film lubricant. After the carrier flashes off, it leaves a thin film of molybdenum disulfide particles that lowers friction and helps prevent galling when threaded or dissimilar-metal parts are assembled or taken apart. CRC lists drill pipe lubrication in the oil and gas industry among its uses, and it also serves as a general surface spray to reduce torque on assemblies. This is the 311 g aerosol can.
The Safety Data Sheet (WHMIS 2015) classifies it as an extremely flammable aerosol (Category 1) that causes skin and serious eye irritation, is suspected of damaging fertility or the unborn child (Category 2), may cause drowsiness or dizziness, may cause organ damage through prolonged exposure and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Signal word Danger. Keep away from ignition sources, use in a well-ventilated area and read the SDS before use. Not for sale in the United States. Sold per can.
