Description
J-B Weld MarineWeld is a two-part marine adhesive and sealant in a 25 mL (0.85 fl oz) syringe. J-B Weld describes it as a specially formulated system for strong, lasting repairs that bond different or similar surfaces such as metal, SMC fiberglass, aluminum and wood, with a 1:1 mixing ratio and a tensile strength of 2350 psi. The pack lists boat, personal watercraft, and deck and hull accessory repairs and gap filling, and describes it as chemical and UV resistant. The syringe has a re-sealable no-waste cap.
Clean the area of dirt, grease, oil, paint and rust, roughen it, press the plunger to dispense equal amounts, mix thoroughly and apply. It sets in 5 minutes and cures in one hour, then it can be sanded, drilled, filed and tapped. The Safety Data Sheet (English) classifies it as harmful if inhaled, a skin and serious eye irritant, a skin sensitizer and a respiratory irritant (Warning). Wear gloves and eye protection, use it in a well-ventilated area and read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Sold per syringe.
