Description
The Klein 11049 is a wire stripper and cutter that cuts, strips, loops and gauges 8-16 AWG stranded wire. The manufacturer gives the metric equivalent as 6.0 to 1.0 mm2. Its narrow nose fits into tight places.
According to the manufacturer, the bi-layer handle adds structure, palm fit and comfort, and the gauge markings are readable on both sides for stripping in either direction. Spring-loaded for self-opening, with red textured handles (red indicates stranded wire). Not to be used on steel wire or bolts. This tool is NOT insulated. Sold as a single tool.
