Description
The Knipex 71 01 200 R is an 8 in CoBolt high leverage compact bolt cutter listed by the manufacturer as the Fencing version. Per the manufacturer, its cutting edge hardness is reduced (approx. 62 HRC, induction hardened) to allow more pressure on the sides of the cutting edges, for example when making fences, and it cuts soft and hard wire.
The manufacturer states it cuts bolts, nails, rivets and similar materials, up to 5/32 in diameter for hard wire, and has a gripping surface below the joint for gripping and pulling wire from 3/64 in diameter. Straight blade, chrome vanadium heavy-duty steel, forged and multi-stage oil-hardened, with plastic-coated handles. Sold as a single tool.
