Description
The Moen 1224 is a replacement cartridge for two-handle faucets, used on either the hot or the cold side. Moen lists it for many of its two-handle kitchen and bathroom faucets and for two- or three-handle shower valves with a diverter.
Moen advises identifying the old cartridge first: some two-handle faucets made since about 2015 use a 1234 cartridge instead, and the 1224 and 1234 are not interchangeable. The cartridge is held by a retainer nut, handled separately. Sold as a single cartridge.
