Description
Loctite 243 is a one-component, medium-strength anaerobic threadlocker for locking and sealing threaded fasteners that still need to be taken apart with standard hand tools. It works on active metals such as brass and copper as well as passive surfaces such as stainless steel and plated parts, and it tolerates minor oil contamination. Typical users are maintenance crews working on pumps, gearboxes, motors and vehicles. This 0.5 mL bottle is a single-use size for small fasteners.
The Safety Data Sheet (WHMIS 2015) classifies the product as causing skin irritation (Category 2), causing serious eye irritation (Category 2A) and a skin sensitizer (Category 1). Wear protective gloves and eye protection, avoid contact with skin, and read the SDS before use. Not recommended for use in pure oxygen. Sold per 0.5 mL bottle.
