Description
Loctite 243 is a blue, medium-strength anaerobic threadlocker for locking and sealing threaded fasteners that still need to be taken apart with standard hand tools. It cures without air between close-fitting metal surfaces, tolerates minor oil contamination on the threads and works on active metals and on passive finishes such as stainless steel and plated parts. Maintenance crews use it on pumps, gearboxes, motors and vehicles.
The Safety Data Sheet classifies the product as a skin irritant (Category 2), serious eye irritant (Category 2A) and skin sensitizer (Category 1). Wear protective gloves, eye protection and face protection, avoid breathing mist or vapours and read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Not recommended for pure oxygen systems. Sold per 6 mL tube on a card.
