Description
Loctite 454 is a one-part, thixotropic ethyl cyanoacrylate instant adhesive in gel form. The gel stays where it is applied, even on vertical surfaces, and it is meant for bonding metals, plastics and elastomers as well as porous materials such as wood, paper, leather and fabric. Maintenance and repair crews use it for quick repairs and assembly where a runny adhesive would drip or soak in.
The Safety Data Sheet classifies the gel as a combustible liquid (flammable liquid Category 4), an eye irritant (Category 2B) and a single-exposure target organ toxicant (Category 3, respiratory tract irritation), and warns that it bonds skin in seconds. Wear eye protection and gloves, work in a ventilated area and read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Sold per 3 g tube.
