Description
Loctite 592 PST is a thick, off-white paste for sealing threaded pipe joints on metal fittings, plugs and tees. Being a one-part anaerobic product, it stays workable until the threads are screwed together and air is shut out, and its lubricating properties help stop the fitting from galling as it is wrenched tight. Plumbers, millwrights and maintenance crews use it on shop and plant piping, and Henkel lists it for service up to 204 °C (400 °F). This is the 6 mL tube.
The Canadian Safety Data Sheet classifies the product as a skin irritant (Category 2) and an eye irritant (Category 2B), signal word Warning. Wear protective gloves, wash thoroughly after handling and read the SDS before use. Not recommended for plastic piping, for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, or as a sealant for chlorine and other strong oxidizers. Sold per 6 mL tube.
