Description
LPS 1 is a greaseless lubricant that leaves a thin, dry film instead of a sticky residue, so it does not hold on to dust and dirt the way an oily lubricant can. LPS says it also displaces moisture and frees rusted or stuck parts. Maintenance technicians use it on hinges, locks, cables, sliding mechanisms, springs, relays, electric motors and precision instruments. This listing is the 312 g (11 wt oz) aerosol can.
The Canadian Safety Data Sheet classifies the aerosol as Flammable aerosol Category 1 and Gas under pressure (compressed gas), signal word Danger: extremely flammable, may explode if heated. It also notes that the product contains calcium sulfonate, which may produce an allergic reaction. Do not spray on a flame or ignition source, do not pierce or burn the can, and keep it below 50 °C (122 °F). Read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Sold per can.
