Description
The MSA ALTAIR 4XR is a rugged four-gas portable detector with XCell sensors. This configuration measures combustible gas (LEL), oxygen (O2), low-concentration hydrogen sulfide (H2S-LC) and carbon monoxide (CO), and it comes in a charcoal case with a North American charger. It warns the wearer with gas alarm LEDs, a 95 dBA audible alarm and a vibrating alarm, and it has a Bump LED that shows when the detector has passed its bump test.
The battery is rechargeable and gives about 20 hours of run time at 25 °C. The housing is rated IP 68 (2 metres for 45 minutes). MSA backs the chassis, electronics and sensors with a four-year warranty, with the exceptions listed in the manual. Use the detector as the manual describes, bump test it before use and follow your site procedure for gas testing.
