Description
CRC Brakleen Brake Parts Cleaner Non-Chlorinated Low VOC is a fast-drying brake cleaner that, according to CRC, blasts oil, grease and dirt off brake components with its PowerJet spray nozzle and leaves no residue. CRC describes it as a formula that meets the new low-VOC regulations (under 10% VOC) and lists ABS parts, clutch discs, brake linings, calipers, wheel cylinders, brake pads and rotors, and brake shoes and drums as applications.
The Canadian Safety Data Sheet classifies it as an extremely flammable aerosol (Category 1; pressurized container, may burst if heated), as causing skin irritation (Category 2) and serious eye irritation (Category 2A), as causing drowsiness or dizziness (Category 3), as an aspiration hazard (Category 1), and as toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects (acute and chronic Category 2).
