Description

CRC Food Plant Silicone Lubricant is a multi-purpose silicone spray for food processing and handling equipment, registered NSF H1 for incidental food contact. It leaves a colourless, odourless, non-staining film that lubricates and acts as a release agent on metal-to-non-metal surfaces. CRC lists chutes, guides, rails, conveyors, bottling machinery, slicers, rubber seals, locks, pulleys and linkages as applications, and describes it as harmless to most rubbers and plastics.

The Canadian Safety Data Sheet classifies it as an extremely flammable aerosol (Category 1) in a pressurized container that may burst if heated. It causes skin irritation, may cause drowsiness or dizziness, may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways, and is toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Sold as a 283 g (16 oz) aerosol can.
