Description
Gastec detector tube No. 1LK measures carbon monoxide (CO) in air from 5 to 600 ppm. Break both tips off the tube, fit it to a Gastec GV-100 or GV-110 hand pump and draw the number of pump strokes listed for the expected range. The reagent changes from white to pale brown / pale green (dual layers), and the stain shows the gas concentration. Read the concentration directly on the scale printed on the tube. 10 tubes per box give 10 tests.
Carbon monoxide comes from engines, generators, heaters and welding or burning work in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas. A tube gives a spot reading and does not replace a certified gas monitor where your site procedure requires one. Use only Gastec tubes with a Gastec pump, break the tips away from your eyes, and never handle broken glass or reagent with bare hands.
