Description
Gastec detector tube No. 30 measures hydrogen (H2) in air from 0.5 to 2 %. Break both tips off the tube, fit it to a Gastec GV-100 or GV-110 hand pump and draw the number of pump strokes listed for the expected range. The reagent changes from yellow to yellowish brown, and the stain shows the gas concentration. This is not a direct-reading tube: read the stain length against the concentration chart supplied with the tube. 10 tubes per box give 10 tests.
Hydrogen can collect near battery rooms, charging areas, electrolysis units and process lines. A tube gives a spot reading and does not replace a certified gas monitor where your site procedure requires one. Use only Gastec tubes with a Gastec pump, break the tips away from your eyes, and never handle broken glass or reagent with bare hands.
