Description
J-B Weld WaterWeld is a two-part epoxy putty in a stick that plugs and seals leaks and patches holes and cracks in almost any material. J-B Weld says it sets even under water and lists plumbing, fuel tanks, tubs, showers, drains, pools, boats and potable water tanks as typical repairs. Cut off the amount needed, knead it by hand until the colour is uniform and press it firmly onto the surface. It sets in 25 minutes and hardens in about one hour, then it can be drilled, tapped, filed, sanded and painted.
J-B Weld rates it at 4370 psi, with water pressure up to 500 psi and temperatures up to 250 °F (121 °C). The pack lists resistance to water, oil, gasoline, diesel and hydraulic fluids. The Safety Data Sheet (English) classifies it as a skin sensitizer, a skin irritant (category 1) and suspected of causing cancer (Warning). Wear gloves and eye protection and read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Sold per 57 g stick.
