Description
The Knipex 70 01 140 is a 5-1/2 in diagonal cutter with a narrow head for use in confined areas. The manufacturer describes precision cutting edges for soft and hard wire and clean cuts in thin copper wire, even at the tips of the cutting edges.
The cutting edges are induction-hardened (approx. 62 HRC) per the manufacturer. Stated cutting capacity is up to 5/32 in for soft wire, 3/32 in for medium-hard wire and 5/64 in for hard wire. Forged vanadium steel, oil-hardened in several steps, with plastic-coated handles. Sold as a single tool.
