Description
Loctite 268 is a red, high-strength anaerobic threadlocker supplied as a wax-like semi-solid in a self-feeding stick applicator. It cures without air between close-fitting metal surfaces and is used by maintenance and assembly crews to secure nuts, bolts and studs where a liquid threadlocker would run off or is awkward to dose, such as vertical or overhead fasteners.
The Safety Data Sheet classifies the product as a skin irritant (Category 2), serious eye irritant (Category 2A), skin sensitizer (Category 1), suspected carcinogen (Category 2) and a repeated-exposure target organ toxicant (Category 2). Wear protective gloves, clothing and eye and face protection, and read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Sold per 19 g stick.
