Loctite 545 Hydraulic and Pneumatic Thread Sealant, Purple, 10 mL Bottle

Loctite 545 is a purple, medium-viscosity anaerobic liquid made for sealing and locking small threaded metal fittings such as those found on hydraulic and pneumatic lines. It contains no solid fillers, has a built-in lubricity that helps fittings go together smoothly, and sets only when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces without air. Fluid power technicians and maintenance mechanics use it on pipe-thread connectors, and the joint can be undone later with standard hand tools.

The Safety Data Sheet (Henkel Canada, WHMIS 2015) lists skin irritant (Category 2), serious eye irritant (Category 2A), skin sensitizer (Category 1), suspected carcinogen (Category 2) and specific target organ toxicity after repeated exposure (Category 2), signal word Warning. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye and face protection, avoid breathing vapours or mist and read the SDS first. Not for pure oxygen systems or chlorine service.
