Description
LPS 2 is a multi-purpose lubricant and penetrant sold in a 312 g (11 wt oz) aerosol can. According to LPS, it displaces moisture, loosens rusted or seized parts and leaves a light, non-drying oily film that protects indoor metal parts for up to one year. It is used by maintenance crews on bearings, valves, cables, linkages, slides, tracks, dies, bits, fasteners, hand tools and electric motors.
The Canadian Safety Data Sheet classifies the aerosol as Flammable aerosol Category 1 and Gas under pressure (compressed gas), signal word Danger: extremely flammable, may explode if heated. Do not spray on a flame or ignition source, do not pierce or burn the can, and keep it below 50 °C (122 °F). Read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Sold per can.
