Description
LPS DETEX Heavy Duty Silicone Lubricant is a silicone-rich, water-based lubricant that, according to LPS, eliminates sticking, binding and squeaking while protecting rubber and plastic parts. It is registered NSF H1 for use where incidental food contact may occur, is odorless and colorless so it does not stain production equipment, and comes in metal and X-ray detectable packaging. LPS lists cables, casters, guide rails, O-rings, plastic gears, rubber bushings, seals, sprockets and valves among its applications.
The Canadian Safety Data Sheet classifies it as a flammable aerosol (Category 2; pressurized container, may burst if heated) and as a skin sensitizer (Category 1, may cause an allergic skin reaction). Read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Sold as a 369 g (13 oz) aerosol can.
