Description
The OTC 7177 is a heavy duty extendable indexing pry bar. Per the manufacturer, it is designed for jobs such as positioning or repositioning equipment, aligning heavy steel plates or panels, and prying large heavy objects like decking, grates and covers. The combination of extendable reach and pivoting head is described as giving access to jobs where traditional pry bars may be limited.
The prying head is 13/16 in wide and the bar extends from 34 in to 53 in through 31 preset positions in 5/8 in increments. Separate oversized spring-loaded pins set the length and the head angle, which pivots a full 180 degrees and locks in 14 positions. The manufacturer states an optimal loading of 1500 to 2200 lb. The 1-3/8 in diameter handle has a black oxide finish and a knurled end. Sold as a single pry bar.
