Description
Permatex Battery Protector and Sealer is an aerosol that coats battery terminals and cables, and Permatex says it is intended to prevent acid salt corrosion on the terminals. It is applied to automotive, marine, farm machinery and motorcycle batteries, in use or in storage. The coating is purple. This is the 141 g (5 oz net weight) can, listed by Permatex as item 80370 (SA9 on the Safety Data Sheet).
Extremely flammable aerosol. The Safety Data Sheet lists skin and serious eye irritation, suspected carcinogenicity (Category 1B), drowsiness or dizziness and organ damage through repeated exposure, with the signal word Danger. Clean the parts first, hold the can 10 to 12 inches from the surface, apply two thin coats in a well-ventilated area, and keep away from ignition sources. Sold per can.
