Description
Permatex Ultra Grey is a single-component RTV silicone gasket maker with a grey, non-sag consistency that cures on exposure to moisture in the air. Permatex positions it for rigid flanges under high torque and vibration, including engines with closely spaced bolt patterns, and describes it as OEM specified with a sensor-safe, low-odour formula. Typical uses include valve covers, water pumps, thermostat housings, intake manifold end seals, transmission pans, oil pans, timing covers and differential covers. It can form a gasket in place or dress a pre-cut gasket.
The Canadian-item Safety Data Sheet (Warning) classifies it as a serious eye irritant (Category 2A), a skin sensitizer (Category 1) and a suspected carcinogen (Category 2). Wear gloves, eye and face protection and read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Permatex states it is not recommended on head gaskets or on parts in contact with gasoline. Sold per 80 mL tube.
