Description
The Proto J5022MH is a 3/8 in drive, 22 mm 6-point deep socket. According to the manufacturer, 6-point sockets are suited to stubborn or damaged fasteners and to fasteners made of soft materials.
Per the manufacturer, the TorquePlus design engages the fastener flats rather than the corners, using a radius-corner design that spreads contact stress over a large area of the socket and minimizes slippage. The internal design is said to minimize fastener rounding and to make it easier to turn worn, rounded or rusted fasteners. Sold as a single socket.
