Description
The Proto J7312H is a 1/2 in drive deep impact socket with a 3/8 in, 6-point opening. The manufacturer positions its 6-point impact sockets for stubborn or damaged fasteners and for fasteners made of soft materials.
Per the manufacturer, the TorquePlus design engages the fastener flats rather than the corners, using a radius-corner design that shifts contact stress away from the corners. The socket size is stamped on the tool and a side locking hole is provided. Overall length is 3-1/4 in. Sold as a single socket.
