Description
Single Simpson Strong-Tie DIAB50 drop-in anchor (sold by the piece): an internally threaded, zinc-plated carbon steel expansion anchor, 2 in (50.8 mm) long, that accepts a 1/2 in bolt or threaded rod (13 threads per inch). It goes in a 5/8 in (15.9 mm) hole and is expanded with a setting tool so that it sits flush with the surface of the base material.
Used to hang pipe, conduit, strut and fixtures from solid concrete and similar solid base materials where a flush, removable bolt connection is wanted. A mark on top of the anchor shows when it has been set. Installation must follow the manufacturer's instructions and the requirements of your project.
