Description
Single Simpson Strong-Tie Sleeve-All SL31112H sleeve anchor, 5/16 x 1-1/2 in (7.9 x 38 mm), with a hex-head head, in zinc-plated carbon steel. The maker supplies it pre-assembled and sells this model in boxes of 100; here it is sold by the piece.
It is a one-piece expanding sleeve anchor that the maker recommends for solid base materials such as concrete, brick and block, for example to secure door frames, brackets, rails and light fixtures. Drill a 5/16 in (7.9 mm) hole with a carbide bit, clean it, drive the anchor through the fixture and tighten; the maker gives 8 ft-lbf (10.8 N·m) as the installation torque in concrete. Installation must follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the requirements of the project.
