Description
The Starrett 124AZ is a solid-rod inside micrometer set with a 2-8 in (50-200 mm) range and .001 in graduations (0.01 mm / .001 in per the manufacturer), supplied with 6 measuring rods in a padded case. The manufacturer describes the 124 sets as useful for measuring inside diameters of cylinders and rings and for measuring parallel surfaces.
Per the manufacturer, the range is obtained by assembling the rods and a spacing collar to the micrometer head, and each rod has individual length adjustment for the anvil using the special wrenches furnished.
