Description
The Starrett 18C is a 5-1/4 in (130 mm) automatic center punch with an adjustable stroke and a 11/16 in (17 mm) diameter, listed by the manufacturer as heavy duty. It has a lightweight, knurled steel handle for a positive grip and easy handling.
Per the manufacturer, an internal mechanism automatically strikes a blow when downward pressure is applied, and the spring tension that regulates the blow is constant so marks made by the point are uniform in depth and size for each setting.
