Description
Bessey BV-HW45 light-duty bench vise with a swivel base that turns through 270° and locks with one lockdown. It has a small built-in anvil, a throat depth of 1-3/4 in (44 mm) and a pipe capacity of 1 in (25 mm). The body is gray cast iron.
Bolted to a bench through four mounting holes, it is meant for lighter jobs such as holding small parts for filing, drilling or assembly. For heavier or repeated metalworking, a heavy-duty model such as the BV-HD40 or BV-HD60 is the better fit. Wear eye protection and follow the maker’s manual.
