Description
The Knipex 25 01 160 is a 160 mm snipe nose side cutting plier, also called a radio plier, for fine gripping, positioning and cutting. The manufacturer describes its slim, tapered jaws as suited to work in confined spaces, such as repairs, maintenance and installations.
The cutting edges are induction-hardened to approx. 61 HRC and, per the manufacturer, cut cable and soft wire, medium-hard wire up to Ø 2.5 mm and hard wire up to Ø 1.6 mm. The pliers are forged from vanadium electric steel and oil-hardened, with serrated gripping surfaces and handles with a plastic coating. Sold as a single tool.
