Description
The Knipex 74 01 160 is a 160 mm (6-1/4 in) high leverage diagonal cutter for tough, continuous use. The manufacturer states that, at this length, it fits most work bags and almost any toolbox, and that its cutting edge, joint and handle geometry gives a much better ratio of force required to cutting capacity than conventional diagonal cutters of the same size.
The precision cutting edges are induction-hardened (approx. 64 HRC per the manufacturer) and suit all wire types including piano wire, with a stated capacity of Ø 2.0 mm on piano wire. The pliers have a forged joint axle, a polished head, a black atramentized finish and plastic-coated handles. Sold as a single tool.
