Description
The Proto J5522M is a 22 mm 12-point standard-length socket with a 3/4 in. drive and a satin finish. Per the manufacturer, 12-point sockets suit stubborn or damaged fasteners and fasteners made of soft materials.
The manufacturer states that the TorquePlus design engages the fastener flats rather than the corners, using a radius-corner profile that distributes contact stress over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage, and that its internal design minimizes fastener rounding and helps turn worn, rounded or rusted fasteners. The socket has a ball detent design. Sold as a single socket.
