Description
The Proto J7317M is a 17 mm 6-point deep impact socket with a 1/2 in drive. The manufacturer states that 6-point sockets suit stubborn or damaged fasteners and fasteners made from soft materials, and that the TorquePlus design engages the fastener flats rather than the corners, using a radius-corner design that spreads contact stress over a larger area and helps limit slippage.
