Description
The Proto J7710H is a 3/8 in drive deep impact socket with a 5/16 in, 6-point opening in a black oxide finish. The manufacturer positions its 6-point impact sockets for stubborn or damaged fasteners and for fasteners made of soft materials.
Per the manufacturer, the TorquePlus design lets the socket engage the fastener flats rather than the corners, with radius corners that spread contact stress, which helps reduce fastener rounding. The socket size is stamped on the tool and a side locking hole is provided. Overall length is 2-3/4 in. Sold as a single socket.
