Starrett 657T Flex-O-Post Indicator Holder with Magnetic Base

The Starrett 657T is a Flex-O-Post indicator holder with a magnetic base, supplied as a complete assembly. Per the manufacturer, it is for use with all Starrett test, back-plunger, AGD, dial and miniature-dial indicators, and also accommodates similar indicators from other manufacturers.

The flexible post is made of short tubular steel sections and precision ball joints linked by an internal steel cable. It can be adjusted to any position and locked by turning a lever near the magnetic base, which suits places that are hard to reach with conventional holders. Mounted on the base, the post has a stated vertical reach of approximately 15 in (380 mm) and horizontal reach of approximately 10 in (250 mm). The indicator snug at the end of the post rotates 360 degrees and locks in any position. The base has three precision ground magnetic contact surfaces, grips horizontally, vertically or upside down, and has a V-step for arbors, shafts and chucks. The indicator is not included. Sold as one assembly.
